Barristers Big Band on Friday night
On Friday evening 10/8, you can enjoy a free public concert by the Barristers Big Band starting at 6 p.m. The band features Steve Thomas, keyboard player for the Beverly All Stars. This concert will be in the Pritzker Auditorium of the Harold Washington Library Center, 400 S State St. in the Loop. The concert theme is Glenn Miller and the Andrews Sisters, with all original arrangements of this exciting and timeless music. Tickets are not required.

Beverly All Stars on Wednesday night
The Beverly All Stars will be back at Iona's tomorrow night (10/6). They plan to play on a duo configuration on a few Wednesday nights as they did last winter.
If you haven't tried Iona's yet, you can find it at 1767 W. 95th St., opposite the 95th St. Metra station (773.233.0027). It's a friendly little place with tasty Southern comfort food. Come on down for dinner or dessert with some tasty tunes from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

Beverly All Stars play from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Enjoy dinner, drinks and dessert with some tasty jazz. Want a little wine with dinner? You can BYO for a nominal corkage fee.
Tonight is the last night that the Beverly All Stars will play at Blue Moon on a regular basis. Starting in September, Blue Moon will no longer be open in the evenings. Look for more info soon on new hours and a revised menu, and visit Caroline to enjoy her delicious breakfast and lunch creations in addition to coffee, tea, and other tasty treats.
